We played the wonderful Hope and Anchor, Islington last night. Thanks to all who came down for that.
Next up, The Tangerine Bar in Worthing this Thursday the 26th of August.
Get down there for about 9pm, it'll be a good 'un.

Well, we were officially Introduced by Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music in the early hours of this morning, thanks to everyone who tuned in!
Portsmouth round of Live and Unsigned on Sunday 30th May, anyone who wants to get involved please email

UPDATE!
The Beautiful Word will be on Tom Robinson's Fresh on the Net show on BBC 6 music tonight (technically Sunday morning) from 1am. We will be around the fourth song into the show so please tune in!
Also, if you're in Brighton today we are playing the gorgeous St Ann's Well Garden Festival from midday.

Happy May!
Brighton's Great Escape weekend has come and gone and it was a great one! Thanks to everyone who came along to our Alt Escape show at the Northern Lights.
Coming up: day-time fun in St Ann's Well Garden, covers set at Lucky Voice, Area final in Portsmouth and of course the long awaited EP launch in just over a month!
Also new this month, some serious TBW merchandise up for grabs! Come to a gig to get your hands on some free badges and stickers, bag a T-Shirt for £7 or a copy of Curvature of Words for a fiver!

Time for a mid April update!
Live and Unsigned
The Beautiful Word are through to the Area Finals (South England) of the Live and Unsigned competition. The regional finals were in Hove on Saturday night and TBW were one of 7 bands from the region to go through to the Area finals in Portsmouth (Guild Hall) on May 30th.
If anyone is in Portsmouth and needs details or would like to get involved in a combined transport
Tickets again are £7.50 and we will be organising some form of transport from Brighton to Portsmouth on the day.

Where on earth did March go?
So this month I have turned 22, Nelson has turned 23 and the
beautiful new EPs have arrived (but must be kept locked away until
release date!).
Still to come- TBW play Club NME at Audio next Tuesday
(the 30th of March) and we await the announcement of the
date for the EP Launch!
Also, we would love you to come to our Live and Unsigned
performance at Hove Town Hall on Saturday the 17th of April.
I know it's a long way off but we need you to buy tickets from us.
20 bands in one night for £7.50! I think that's a bargain.

Glastonbury ETC Finals
There were over 1600 applicants to filter through this year and TBW made it this far. It takes a few moments to vote and each voter goes in with a chance to win a Glastonbury 2010 ticket!

Happy Palindrome Day!
It is now February and things are hotting up at TBW headquarters with the imminent completion of the new EP, I for one am excited by this. Greetings! The excesses of December have caught up on us and we are all looking forth to a new and fresh year. So what does it have in store for TBW? Well, this year will see us touring the new EP in April which we are very excited about. Look forward to seeing us in Bristol, Oxford, Manchester, Norwich, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth…watch this space for more locations and dates. But for January, you can catch us at the Providence on Saturday the 16th of Jan for a headline slot at 10.15pm, doors at 8pm. Good Evening December!
How are you all this evening? Just a few bits of news tonight- 1. The website, as you can see has been re-vamped. Not like turned into a vampire vamped, just spruced up a little. 2. We have one last gig beofre Christmas- it is at the Hope, Queens Rd, Brighton on Saturday the 12th. Things should kick off about 8pm! Please come along and see our last gig this decade!! Also playing are Yokoko and the Morning Orchestra.

Welcome August!
Well, July went a bit quick didn't it? But we're all set for a brand new month at the Word HQ. Highlights to include Bloom Festival (Cheltenham) and Beachdown! Also catch us in Brighton on Sunday 9th at Madame Geisha's for a XYZ showcase, and Monday the 31st at the Freebutt with Sleeping States (www.myspace.com/sleepingstates).
